How Cruel! Bullied Boy Sues Daycare Over ‘Floor is Lava’ Game

LOS ANGELES – The family of Aiden West filed suit Monday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court against The Learning Tree daycare center located in Van Nuys, CA. The lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of Learning Tree, Inc. due to their failure to adequately monitor it’s playground game selection. The West family is seeking unspecified damages for “…forcing Aiden to play a game designated as his trigger event.”

Noted opportunist and civil rights lawyer Gloria Allred is representing the Wests and briefed the media following this morning’s court proceedings, “My client, little Aiden, recently moved to L.A. from Hawaii. His father, a geologist, had been guest teaching a class on tectonic activity at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. Aiden used to go with his father into the field to see the volcanoes firsthand. About a month ago, an unexpected lava flow took out their base camp. Luckily, no one was harmed. But Aiden lost one of his iPads and a Nintendo 3DS. I can’t imagine.”

Allred continued, “Put yourself in his shoes, would YOU want to play ‘The Floor is Lava’ after a traumatic event like that? Of course not. Fighting back tears, and wanting to fit in with his new classmates, Aiden tip-toed, jumped and scarred himself for life.”

Jeffrey Bash, attorney for the daycare center, believes the suit is without merit, “At Learning Tree, we have always fostered a kind and inclusive environment for all. In the past year, we removed all gluten, peanuts, games with a winner, holidays, running at recess and gender pronouns. There’s no step we won’t take if yelled at by angry parents. We look forward to our day in court.”
